"improving intensive care in Scotland"

SICS Travel Grant

The aim of this grant is to support travel to study or experience critical care in an environment/location different from the individual's normal workplace. This year there are two grants on offer. Each has a maximum value of £2000, awarded in whole or part.

The successful applicant(s) will be invited to present an account of their project at the following years’ ASM in January.

The grant is accessible to all SICS members of any profession and any grade.

Joining the Society at the time of application is acceptable.

The closing date for application is usually the end of March each year. Applications will be considered at the SICS Council meeting in the spring. The decision of the Council is final.

To apply: send a clear summary (maximum length - one page Word document) of your proposed project, anticipated costs and benefits accruing from the trip to the Honorary Secretary by email. Any other sources of funding or applications for funding must be declared and a letter of support from the institution to be visited is desirable. The marking scheme used to assess travel grant applications is available to read through the link at the bottom of this page.
