ICU survivors commonly experience impairments in physical function, cognition and mental health, which impacts on their activities of daily living and the wellbeing of their family. SICS has started a fund raising venture to highlight awareness of these issues and provide support for the rehabilitation needs of patients throughout Scotland, as they continue their recovery journey.
With this in mind we would like to invite you to attend Scotland's newest and secret lighting trail called “Wondrous Woods”, in the private grounds of Hopetoun House from 21st Oct to 15th November. It is a spectacular outdoor woodland walk, set within the mystical 300 year old woods and is being put on by creative Edinburgh production company 21CC Productions. The team at 21CC have been supporting the launch of the Critical Care Recovery and Rehabilitation Fund and have kindly made the Scottish Intensive Care Society (SCIO) the charity of choice for donations. Wondrous Woods is promising to be a magical and safe evening out with family in a stunning natural outdoor setting. You can find out more and book your tickets here
