Psychological webinar 

Friday the 14th of March 2025 from 9:00am-5:00pm on MS Teams

Target Audience: This 1 day webinar teaching event is aimed at all health and social care
staff who are involved in any aspect of supporting a person through their intensive care
experiences at all stages of their physical and psychological recovery journey.
Description of Event: This event is at the “Informed” Practice Type and the aims are:

  1. To provide an introduction to the psychological aspects of intensive care from both
    paediatric and adult perspectives.
  2. To develop a deeper understanding of the biopsychosocial factors that can impact
    upon adjustment during and after the intensive care experience.
  3. To further understand the role of various staff working in, and alongside intensive care
    settings.
    The event has been organised and funded by the Physical Health Workstream within the
    Psychology Directorate in NHS Education for Scotland. Please note that ICU refers to
    “Intensive Care Unit”. Information Technology support will be available on the day.
    Sections of this webinar will be recorded and some presentations will later be uploaded
