Management of sepsis

The management of sepsis comprises:

  • Early recognition of sepsis.
  • Diagnosis and identification of source and pathogen.
  • Source control.
  • Appropriate antibiotics.
  • Fluid resuscitation.
  • Physiological support: Perfusion, oxygen delivery, glucose.
